Medicaid & CHIP 101
People with low incomes, including individuals, families and children, pregnant women, seniors, and people with disabilities, may qualify for Medicaid. While CHIP (Children’s Health Insurance Program) helps children in households that earn too much money to qualify for Medicaid, but not enough to buy private insurance. In some states, CHIP covers pregnant women as well. If you are eligible, you can apply at any time.
